Away from big cities I live in peace.
Be quite, don’t disturb, as I get my night’s sleep.
I wake up in the morning, happy and refreshed,
Get on with my job, I wake up rest.
I swing through the trees that are so very high,
I sometimes do believe that they can touch the sky.
Next I visit the beautiful waterhole.
To quench my thirst, oh the water so cold!
I get back to the savannah, taking a leap in my stride,
But a predator is coming so I’d better hide.
Last but not least, it’s time for lunch
So I creep down from the trees, so low I can jump.
What a wonderful day it was, I wish it’d come again,
So we’d have more fun and laughter, until the very end.
