Lakes on Highland- Manju Lake

There are about 227 High Altitude Lakes in the State of Sikkim. These are small, shallow lakes fed by glaciers and considered sacred.
Fishing is prohibited.

Lakes are called Chhokha ot Tso or Chonna (in Bhutia), Chho in Lepcha or Pokhri, Jheel or Tal in Nepali and Hindi.
